Welcome Home

Synopsis

Welcome Home examines conflict issues related to immigration and integration and portrays people from warmer latitudes settling in a colder country inhabited by people with stronger inhibition, and the result is a critically acclaimed charming and entertaining feature documentary.

Welcome Home is a warm portrait of several Norwegian immigrants, either first or second generation, living in Oslo and Bergen. The film is a big hearted comedy which follows the main characters through their daily life. We learn to know them as they struggle to fit in or decide to stand out, we follow them trough their observations on the Norwegian society, as well as on each other, and we get to know them through their beliefs, their strengths and errors, and most importantly, through their meeting with the new culture.
