My Beloved
Synopsis
MY BELOVED is a wonderfully honest film about fighting for love when challenged by Alzheimer’s disease.
MY BELOVED is the story of Norway’s former Minister of Fisheries, Jan Henry T. Olsen and his wife, Laila Lanes. Jan Henry was diagnosed with Alzheimer at the age of 51, and we follow the couple through a year of joy and happiness, frustration and sorrow.
Their story reminds us that love is a powerful force that rocks the grounds beneath you. Serious illness can strike just as suddenly and intensely as love, and we can never be prepared for it, especially if it hits at a young age. MY BELOVED tells the story of two people at the intersection of these two forces.
This is a powerful story of a brave couple who exposes the realities of Alzheimer’s disease. The hard-hitting and heartwarming portrayal moves its viewers and gives unparalleled insight into living with the incurable disease.
